How It Works
Three steps, no ambiguity about what you're getting.
1. Browse and choose a parcel
Fifty parcels are available in this first release, spread across five named Mars regions — Olympus Mons Foothills, Valles Marineris Rim, Tharsis Highlands, Amazonis Planitia, and Elysium Rise. Each is between 1 and 25 acres and comes with its own plat of survey: a subdivision diagram with bearings, distances, corner monuments, and an areographic (Mars latitude/longitude) reference, drawn in the style of a real land survey.
2. Reserve it for a flat $19.99
Every parcel page shows an "estate valuation" that scales with acreage and region, the way a real listing would. What you actually pay at checkout is the same for every parcel: $19.99, postage included. That price covers a Deed of Gift certificate naming the recipient and a printed plat of survey for the exact parcel, shipped anywhere. The valuation is part of the presentation, not the price — we think that's clearer than pretending otherwise.
A Collector's Edition — with a Field Notes card, a wax-sealed envelope, a numbered Colonist Registry card, and a display tube — is designed and coming soon, once those materials are sourced.
3. Give it
It arrives as a small keepsake package: a certificate and a survey print. It's meant to be a good story at a dinner table, not a financial instrument.
What you are and aren't buying
You're buying a novelty gift set. You are not buying real property. The 1967 Outer Space Treaty holds that celestial bodies are not subject to national appropriation, and no government on Earth currently recognizes private land claims on Mars. See our full Terms & Novelty Disclosure for details.
